Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Rochester is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. The room was very clean. My husband and I both agree that the bed was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is also walkable to restaurants and coffee. The lobby is gorgeous and perfect for any stay. I'd love to come here for a conference or something. We were only in town for a concert, but we were definitely impressed. Thank you for your awesome cleaning staff and fantastic rooms!

First time staying at this hotel. Great location and a nice room. Accessibility is an issue through no fault of the hotel the door opener was broken. I had someone with me to open the door but another gentleman in a wheelchair was alone and had to wait for someone to open the door for him. The distance from the lobby to the elevators and to the accessible rooms is a fair distance if you have mobility issues. Just be aware. That being said we liked the hotel overall. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice. But, if you need accessibility check to see if it will work for you.

Here's the thing, this isn't a brand new hotel. It's got history. And it's really cool! We've stayed in a LOT of hotels. While the rooms may have some aspects that are a bit dated or, the more trendy term, "vintage", our room was clean and cozy. We slept well in a comfortable bed. Our room was quiet. And our shower was hot with good water pressure (5th floor). We had the expected amount of clean bathroom towels and bed pillows. We didn't stay long enough to use the common area amenities but the pool looked clean and like it would be a fun place to swim. The garden areas were well maintained and a nice touch. The atrium, overall, was really stunning. We checked in at midnight with Nikki, who was incredibly friendly, and checked out with Sam, who was equally kind. The only amenity our room lacked was a bar of hand soap in the bathroom, which I'm sure could have been easily resolved but we happened to travel with our own bar, so it was a non-issue. I personally disliked the popcorn, concrete slab ceilings but definitely not a deal breaker. We would absolutely stay here again based on our experience.
